Baja Peninsula Run Trip Report, Day Seven

The end of an amazing adventure. Our last day we had heard reports that the highway was washed out from a recent earthquake just north of Ensanada. So we decided to toke the vineyard road to Valley T and the compadre trail home. Sunrise in San Quintin. Doug loaded up with Chris's dirt bike. I have no idea how Doug was able to keep chips and salsa from being completely crushed but he did and it was a welcome snack as we regrouped on the compadre trail. Baja Peninsula Run Trip Report, Day Five

Day fives would take us from the Pacific Ocean back to the Sea of Cortez. We would spend the night in the sleepy village of Mulege. Pangas heading out to catch fish for the day. Chris fixing a flat. The nail he pulled out. I had a big nail that I plugged from the night before. Breakfast in the cantina. Crossing Arroyo San Raymundo. Click below for day six.

2013 SCORE Baja 1000 Course Announced

SCORE announced yesterday the 2013 Baja 1000 course which will allow us to start planning for our four day adventure on the actual race course.  I'm personally really excited because the course is very similar to the 2003 Baja 1000, which was my first Baja race in my career. The course that SCORE has laid down will be tough. SCORE alternates between a peninsula race and a loop race each year; meaning every other year we finish in La Paz/Cabo or Ensenada. On the loop races which finish back in Ensanada the course is typically no more than 750 miles, while the peninsula runs are at or greater...

FJ Summit 2013

The FJ Summit has been a seven year tradition in Ouray Colorado. This was my first time at the summit, but I can honestly say it wont be my last. The views are incredible and the trails are really challenging. The amount of FJ owners that showed up with their FJ's was astounding. I heard there were 300 FJ's and close to 600 people! The organizers claimed that it was the largest Toyota event in North America! In my opinion the best part about the event is it's a non profit event and all the proceeds go back to the local community.   Here's a gallery from our trip to the FJ Summit:
