Baja Peninsula Run Trip Report, Day Five

Day fives would take us from the Pacific Ocean back to the Sea of Cortez. We would spend the night in the sleepy village of Mulege. Pangas heading out to catch fish for the day. Chris fixing a flat. Baja Peninsula Run Trip Report, Day Four

Day fours itinerary would have us head out to Laguna Ignacio for a couple of hours of whale watching. Then onto Scorpion Bay to camp at the legendary surf break. This section of road that is permanently washed and one bad decision left tour new friend Juan stuck in the mud. He was more than grateful for a tow out by Mike. We ended up meeting up with him again on the whale boat. Our whale watching panga and guide. Getting covered in whale exhalation was a strange highlight for the day. September Palm Springs to Las Vegas Trip Report

Oh boy. What a fun weekend! The weather was perfect, temperatures were in the high 80's, and we even had a little rain. We covered roughly 300 miles on dirt roads over the two days thanks to the group being so small. It never ceases to amaze me how much water changes the desert. Last month the area received some pretty heavy down pours. There were some pretty deep washouts out there, you really had to keep your eyes open and never let your guard down. Palm Springs to Las Vegas Trip Report

Our first Palm Springs to Las Vegas is in the books! We aired down and hit dirt early Saturday morning. The route would take us from the Yucca forests behind Big Bear to the dry lakes of Baker and into Las Vegas. Total mileage was around 250 miles, and very little of it was on pavement. After crossing into Johnson Valley OHV area we found a small patch of sand and had a two-wheel drive hill climb challenge.
